Black Dagger was a short I directed for Quentin Tarantino's Django/Redbull contest. We were originally going to produce a 5 minute short but due to time constraints we put together this opening sequence for the short we intended to shoot.

 Quentin was looking for some insperation for Django so he put together this contest. He gave all contestants 3 clips from old spaghetti westerns that inspired him to write Django. We were suppose to use the clips in some form or another.

 This was not a traditional narrative film I am used to directing this was completely animation style directing. It was a great challenge but a ton of fun.

 The contest lasted 8 days with people around the world voting for their favorite short. Out of 180 entries we ended up in 8th place. For 3 days we held on to the number one spot.
